Actually I have Heard it a hand full of times on this site and that was one of the factors that made upgrade to a modular rig

I never buy cables i buy the cable in bulk from partsexpress and make my own its much better that way cause half the tim cables come brand new with cold joints and what not.

Well I read an old post on here about a guy hooking up a svt pre to the crown xls like me and mention someting about an unbalanced xlr to 1/4 was needed to get full sound. so im ont the right track just dont know to unbalance the cable.

The prob is I need a balanced xlr to unbalanced 1/4 a friend of mine says I need to cut a mic cable then wire pos to the tip of the 1/4 and the shield and neg to the barrel. I could buy one but i alwats have spare cables and connectors hand so no need to buy one I Just wanna make shure he is...

The BBE B-Max has 1/4 unbalanced out and the crown only accepts xlr Balanced in so I purchased a cable but the sound is weak and the guy told me I need to unbalance the cable cause it it providing a weak siginal.

Having trouble with the un balanced cable if i cut a mic cable what wires do i hook the 1/4 tip and ring to? or do i cut a guitar cable and hook up xlr to it which wire goes to what pin? Thanks

Well the tone on my ampeg 610 is huge but it is over kill when the guitarizt is using 50 watt combos ya know, so the acoustic is real nice specially for there price.
