oh, lame I don't have tools for cutting, and the shaft is a little thicker than the pot shafts, where did you get your knob?

So I was just at radioshack, and I saw the rotary switch... It seemed rather long to use for this, did you have to cut it?

I've been trying to remove the tone knob from my B.C. Rich Warlock, and it doesn't seem to come off like my other basses knobs. It doesn't just pull off, and it doesn't have a little hole on the side for a hex key. I've searched and found people are having the same problems, but no solutions...

It's possible, ajusting the bridge can fix that. But if you press the string hard it will be sharper than if you pressed it soft. So the instrument can be in perfect tune, but as humans we are not able to be perfect on how much presure you use to press a string, meaning we will always be out of...

Ok so if I have it wired like this everything should work? So this isn't really gonna help my bass tone?... And how does a mid cut help with my tone? How would that sound?

I guess I should hve been more clear with everything... The 3way toggle switch was drawn horably because I suck at paint... I was going to use somthing like this(The one labled 'EP-4366-023' twards the bottom left of the page)- Link Removed When I say bypass I mean just bypass thetoggle...

Which capacitors would you suggest me using for that? Like a .033u and a .0047u?

Alright so I guess I'll be working on this when I give my bass a makeover this summer :D. But one more question, is there any way to make this into a switch insted of a knob? If not thats cool just wondering.

Is this a project that an idiot with basic soldering skills can do? I'm planning on making some changes to my secondary bass, and think this would be great. It seems pretty simple (That's the point right?) I just don't want to go and destroy my bass.

Wow, thats a pretty cheap investment, I'll be sure to add a varitone switch. If I add one will i have to lose my regular tone knob? Thanks. A killswitch is mostly used for guitar (Tom Morello from Range Against the Machine uses one), it basicly just cuts the sound from the guitar/bass...
