Another big aspect is that I have to always carry the amp for practices - hence the leaning towards 40 - I should have mentioned that before. The 100 sounds great. I'm gonna have to play the Vox and the Rumbles again soon to help make my decision, will report back.

Mainly because the 100 v3 is outside of my budget, plus I'm not sure if it's necessary as a practice amp. Hm I'll have to try the Vox, not sure how it compares to the Rumble 40, which I am starting to lean towards after the feedback on this thread

I have fender bass with gloss urethane finish. There's a small crack that I noticed today, and was wondering if there's any kind of recommended polyurethane I can buy to quickly touch up the crack? Before it starts flaking, which I think it might.

This particular model itself, feels great! Went and swapped for a new one without these flaws

Yeah, I swapped for a different bass - same model. What did it for me is the next morning I noticed some scuff marks on the finish, that were not possible to remove, as if it was underneath the finish. My new bass looks perfect! I realize the noise difference between the pickups are "normal"...

Wow... and I thought my slightly off center jazz pickup was bad. How do you live with that???

Cool this seemed to help actually. Thanks! It's still a bit quieter than the P pickups, but it's made a difference.
