Yea I am heading to the store tonight to try out a couple different fender models to get an idea of the quality, tone, etc. Unfortunately I still can't find a store near me that has a precision deluxe in stock so if I go down that road I might just have to order it online and return it to GC...

Yea, I am referring to this apparent "gouge" under the bridge area. So that is for grouding? or transfer between CNC??

I would have to say the worst bass for metal is any bass that has good quality tone/sound LOL. Just grab a POS BC Rich and go to town. I would say the worst bass for metal is anything worth more than $200 bucks. :hiding:

I have considered getting an older used P-bass deluxe but at this juncture I really want to buy new or near new. I am also not to terribly fond of the P-Bass with that large bridge humbucker pickup, just looks odd to me. But that's just me. Thanks for your input. :hyper:
