    Your picture took me back in time. I had a White/Black Rick in the late 70's and an Ovation Magnum III in the early eighties. Here I am 40 years later wanting them both back. They were much cheaper then.

    A big thank you to the TalkBass community. With your information I borrowed a meter, ran my own continuity test and returned the bass to the dealer to get fixed while I waited. Surprise! The bridge ground wasn't connected. All is well now. Thanks

    When shopping for a new bass...

    Thanks for all of the replies. I like the beginning of Sweet Emotion to see how it plays high on the neck, bits of GnR, Grand Funk a and a couple of scale myself. I'm a mediocre player myself and am in awe and intimidated by some of the other bass shoppers.
