Coronavirus discussion thread - NO POLITICS, or "POLITICS by PROXY"

Tokyo is shutting down, due to 2400 new cases in one day in a population of over 9 million. New Jersey has 8 million people in a larger geographical area and over 5300 cases yesterday, which is worse than at any time during the entire pandemic. Yet, New Jersey has made no adjustments whatsoever...

    NHL Season 2021

If this were any truer, it would be axiomatic. The Rangers are basically a high school all-star team this year. I guess we'll see how it goes. (My hopes are not high, especially so long as they've got David Quinn coaching them. The guy's a nightmare. How did he get renewed for another season?)

    Creamy Bass Overdrive

I like the Pork side of my Way Huge Pork & Pickle Smalls very much. Check out some videos online and see if it might be for you. That said, if you like the Ampeg sound, the Scrambler might be exactly what you're looking for. It's made by them to emulate their own amps. Seems to be on the track, no?

The great Octaver shootout! My search (with comparison video)

That's some good stuff right there -- Thanks! Personally, I use an Exar Octavium and it does very, very well. Octave up and down, with only the up adding fuzz. Lots of options and the tracking is very good. I only mention it in case anyone is looking for an octave pedal and comes across an...

Blasting a Wasp Nest with Dynamite?

For some folks, playing roots isn't enough. Yet, they're not interested in spending untold time learning new techniques and skills, just to continue playing roots after all that effort. So, gear fills that hole, gives them something to focus on that's fun, and keeps them interested. That's my...

The Official Fender Precision Bass Club (Part 8)

My 2011 Fender American Standard Precision Bass, Blizzard Pearl, with Fender replacement PG in Pearl White:

What is the name of this Fender finish?

I have a 2011 American Standard in that same color. It is, indeed, Blizzard Pearl. I changed out my pickguard and it looks amazing with white pearlescent MOTS. Cheap mod that makes a world of difference. Something to think about! Here's mine:
