Hey thanks man! I can do the drum machine on my desktop...no worries there. I'm just trying to first get the flexibility up in my left hand (I can reach 4 frets with an open hand no prob, but when my wrist is cocked under the neck with my thumb under, forget it! I can fret like 3.5 right...

Oh yeah man! Live recordings are the toughest, especially for keeps! You do sound awesome though man...I literally just started my bass training today. Did 15 minutes of plucking to a metronome (not a garden gnome dressed in pink, either) in 1/4ths and 1/8ths. Can't handle 1/16ths yet...

Sounds great to my untrained bass ears! I like your licks. That said, on Radio Caller, when the drummer first cuts in, you guys were just ever so slightly behind him, but then caught up very fast!!! Nice sounding tune.

Great thread! May I join in? I'm going to be building a bass cab as well...I have a JBL D130F (15" speaker made for the guitar famous showman amp). I'm sure it can handle bass as well. I am in search of the perfect head unit for it, of course...any ideas for me? I too plan on a sealed...

Awesome! Then I suppose as you add more basses to the collection, you could just cut and splice the pipe together! Hmmmm...got me thinking now, I have a bunch of leftover sprinkler pipe in the garage! Question, do you still pad it with something? Or is the plastic "soft" enough for the bass?

Hmmm, not a bad idea. I was always under the impression they wanted to keep that sort of stuff to themselves! Would be like trying to teach someone how to do their own valve adjustment on their Honda. :) Cool man, will do that! Sam

Hey guys, new to the forum, new to basses and guitars in general. I just picked up a new GSR200 (never played new) and it needs some setting up. 1st and 4th strings hit around fret 4 and 5. I know there are like four different things I can do to adjust it, but not sure what exactly affects...

What is everyone's experience with the Washburns? Is it a decent learner bass? I have read varying things on other forums and review groups but there isn't much else here other than "it was my first bass." Model XB100 specifically. Fairly new condition.

So are you saying that either is as good as the other? I'm assuming they are both passive. Is the single adjustment knob on the Yamaha an "issue?" I'm looking for a jazz sound, but also able to thump. Thanks
