    Of course... the rod is for the truss rod! That's the first time I have this kind of "wheel end" truss rod. I'm used to Allen keys. I feel stupid, but that's the price of knowledge! Thanks Johnny!

    Hello, I received my Acinonyx V2 few days ago. The volume pot feels a little flimsy (whereas the tone pot is ok). Do you have the same? That said, it works! I also have a thin metal rod with the allen key. Does anyone know what it is for? Thanks! Yves

    On mine, yes, it's tuned E/A... I could put Hipshot D-tuners on it, like Mickael Manring. But the 1 string bass is nice for kids. It's already hard for them to put correctly their fingers on the fretboard and get a nice sound, without buzz. That's why I also have 1 string guitars in my class.

    the action is 2 mm at the 12th and 3 at the 24th ( for the E string). Neck is dead flat.

    I've put a truss rod, nut that's a one piece neck. I hope it will stay "straight", because it's really a joy to handle. Oiled ovangkol... I choose it because I liked my first bass : a warwick corvette FNA.

    I could, but I wanted to keep it simple. But sure, it's not that complicated to have an output for each string. I think it's more useful in "bass/guitar" instruments, where you have a low bass string and 2-3 guitar treble strings, treated separately, with two amps or effect chains.
