Maybe Trace wanted it to sound different to the normal V6 as it's a "special one". Even on outdoor stages, I've never had it near maximum, so the 6550s do pretty well. I just thought I'd show you a pic of the only custom V6 that Trace ever made. It was for some sort of exhibition and apart from the custom case, it uses 6550s for some reason. The serial number is CV6 001 and there isn't a 002.
