Update: the lead time in the zen blade is too long for my liking. Going to continue to look for used and other available options. If anyone is selling any let me know!

I am not sure what you are getting at here. Listening to audio clips, asking for opinions from folks here are pretty much the best and only ways to inform your purchase short of actually trying them, which I cannot.

Hello folks, I think I am going to stick a Nordstrand Zen Blade in the neck, ordering from Bass North. The bridge pickups eventually I will replace as well, we’ll see what I go with then!

I like the dual coil look on the soapbar. I will look into these.

I love them aesthetically, but the P4 size is a better fit for this build. My original cavity is 118mm x 27 mm, so with a p4 I would only have to route a few mm to accommodate the 118mm x33ish mm pickup.

Unfortunately, the Roswell dealer sells the 6 string soap in minimum quantities of 10 units.

They would fit, but they wouldn’t be well suited for the build. I am going no preamp, just volume for each pickup.

The Duncans are not a bad fit! My main issue with them is how few demos there are on them!

All good ideas. I am modifying a Washburn BB6 within an inch of its life. The plan thus far is to swap the preamp out with the Redeemer buffer, double the bridge pickup cavity and drop the existing 2 pickups in there. I am then going to add a new neck pickup, which is what I am on the hunt for...

Good point! In my neck of the woods, a Nordy Zen Blace single would cost 240 CAD before taxes and shipping, so I’m at about 300 dollars but the end of it.
