Since the pickup routs are done by CNC, I assume they're where they're supposed to be. The pickups themselves were screwed in off-center.

should work, will keep water off the wood underneath.

Fender uses pickguard screws on their Custom Shop models that come with the covers mounted, so that's what I used too.

Is the sound of the bass with those mutes comparable to the sound of the foam strip they were replaced with?
