Zoltan's Bass Lounge - trustworthy customer service

Hello, May I ask for this entire thread to be removed please? All that comes up on here on th top is that my web resources are not to be trusted, and the same on Google. This is damaging my business. Unfortunately people don’t read past the first damning comment. Many thanks! Zoltan

    Zoltan Dekany

This has been resolved. The email requests of the cancellation have gone to my junk folder so I wasn’t aware of them. As soon as I’ve found out I’ve gone above and beyond to send a refund as quickly as it was possible. I was in touch with the gentleman on a regular basis until we sorted this...

Hi Menka, Yes we have resolved this issue. Once I was aware of the situation we have corresponded straight away. I have also decided to pay a small fine on stripe so the gentleman could have his funds back asap, instead of waiting for banks to clear the dispute which would’ve taken a few days at...

A Review Of The Players School of Music (Jeff Berlin's School)

Just like to mention an old student of mine's web-site: www.discoverdoublebass.com with Geoff Chalmers. Geoff is a great bassist/teacher now in his own right. He has also teamed up with an incredible classical bassist Lauren Pierce. Together they are creating great resources worth watching...

A Review Of The Players School of Music (Jeff Berlin's School)

Hi Guys, I just saw this thread and understand its a couple of years old but thought i'd clarify a thing as it isn't clear in my CV (need to update). I used to study with Jeff Berlin at CalArts in Los Angeles while doing my masters in music performance. Jeff then employed me a few times to teach...

Double Bass Advice on playing blazing tempos?

Hi Michael, I couldn't agree more. Playing fast tempos (or any tempos) happens by doing them a lot. Really like your method of breaking down your lines starting out with simple solutions to different and more complicated ones. Best wishes, Zoltan

Double Bass Advice on playing blazing tempos?

Hi, in my experience it helps a lot to think in 2 instead of four. A lot of times it's been my mental process that would keep me from being able to hold down a fast tempo. Let say you'd choose two notes per bar and repeat both once. ie.: for a Cmajor7 chord you could play C-C-E-E etc...this way...

    problem playing high notes

No worries man, yeah thats a good idea to use solo strings tuned down to eadg, that way they'll be looser and feel much nicer and smoother to play on. I think the tone will be warmer as well. I think bass shops use this little trick, they detune normal orchestral strings just a bit lower so when...
