I believe that is the list price. Street price is ~35 ish at GC.

All the more reason you should order from Bass Strings Online as they are $29.50...

Can't wait to get my hands on them...

I also have been gassing for these strings, and GC now has them in stock I just ordered a set for my Squier P5 ,they have 36 sets of 5s at the KC warehouse
I hope I'll dig-um as much as the hype inside of my head.

GC just emailed me a tracking number, I'm shocked. I also spoke with Adam at Ernie ball he said they have been shipping them out but was not at liberty to say who are getting them.

OK so I put them on yesterday I first noticed the ribbon wrap is not as tight they have a small amount of grip and O man I do like these!
they have plenty of bite & have a nice meaty tone when you dig in & I could take the action pretty low.I'm not able to post sound clip cuz I am computer stupid but I can post pics.I really like them the big test will be this weakened. the silk is way more purple it was under florescent bulbs.

Um....what the hell? They look like halfrounds. Why are the gaps btw wraps so pronounced? It almost looks like a design flaw.

Yeah, i agree. Looks like 1/2 round or compression/ground wound, but that isn't a deal breaker...still excited to try them out...

Unusual looking but a very purposeful design, resulting in a more flexible string with more harmonics and a brighter sound.

I wonder what happens when crud and dirt start accumulating.

Not a deal breaker for me either but strange nonetheless. I like ridiculously low tension so I have to wait till they're available in the 32-85ish gauge range, but they certainly look odd for flats.
