The exotica line are real lookers.

I just can't feel comfortable with 6 strings and a narrow necks, either.
I forgot that this didn't work out for me.

Yeah, I know. (kidding…too good of a setup :D)

Brief aside: I was wondering how Jackson was going to portray them…ancient ghosts or descendants of "The Army of the Cursed Dead". The "ancient ghosts" thing was pretty cool, but I think the "descendants of…with a preternatural twist" would've been more interesting and nuanced.

I'd love to get a copy of the pictograph over the gate from the movie and put it as a "greeting" over my front door here at home. :D

Jazz Ad--Aphex Aural Exciters are go-to rackmount sweeteners that have been popular with soundmen and studio engineers for decades.
As I understand it, phase alignment, added high freq harmonics, and some kind of very useful low freq enhancement are the main features.
Having those things onboard an AEB would be a very good thing.

Had no idea Aphex was supplying Dean with preamps. I need to start trolling the pawn shops for dirt cheap Deans of the correct vintage.
Already liked their looks, and the Breedlove is gone.

Stock photo. Sorry, but mine doesn't have any sexy grain or color to merit it's own picture.

I play one of these. Basically an acoustic with a comfy thin jazz neck. There were two at the store and I bought the brighter sounding of the two. I figured going for low end on an AEB is futile so I might as well cut through with the upper harmonics of rounds.

I'm okay with the fact that they no longer offer it... So long as we got ours! I don't understand how the things just got no love... I've not found a louder, better sounding bass yet. That seems trivial, but in the acoustic bass world, it's a mouth full!
