Unless I intended to use it as a weapon I'd never play a bass with that headstock, which is unfortunate (for me), since I do like the rest of it. YMMV 
I have an older Concert Bass V with an even longer one. It’s not that bad. I’ve only poked a few eyes and knocked a couple teeth out of folks. They were all fine after they heard me play. I could do without the actives completely. Something like the duff mckagan V/T/3way is the ideal setup for me.
Had me already imagining gutting it for some EMG passives and a new pickguard with fewer knobs. But then We're into the duff sig bass price range, and I might as well just get that to fix my PJ needs.
Sorry, it's a nope from me. Don't like pointy basses, and it's gotta be a straight line from saddle to tuning post.

I say, it's one of the features that made Jackson unique. No longer is that the case, though. Few years ago it was bad with them, it's worse now. 90s etc Jackson was the peak, now it's just a corpse being dangled around like a puppet for money.
Not like it matters per say since its just some brand nonsense, but if you're into gear for gears sake, that kinda sucks.
The Jackenbacker is an abomination imho. Even if it sounds and feels etc. okay.
Some things just shouldn't be done and this is one of those things. Unholy duality of bass. Never post an image of this monstrosity again. I beg thee.

Personally I wish they would re-introduce the classic USA made 80s Jackson Concert Bass.
No but not because of the headstock, it's the coolest looking part.
i dunno why they need to copy Ric's with that pickguard/hardware. just do something more creative....I dont mind the headstock or color as much as that junk on the front.
Not a fan of the Jacksonbacker design - it looks like the platypus of the bass kingdom. However, big thumbs up to the olive drab.
The funny thing is, it doesn't look like a Ric at all, but Jackson obviously wanted people to think Ric...I bet half of those sold went out the door to those so influenced.

Other than that, a few weeks ago the Rocket Red ones were selling for under $400...seems about right for those who like that sort of thing.
