I tried searching but found only one thread, does anyone else have a GrassRoots bass? I am not even sure where mine is made. I bought it from the ESP shop in Shibuya in July 2007. It is the lowest end of the Tetsu signature basses.

Here is a clearer picture of the high-end model, the ESP Bass-IV. It looks somewhat redder than my bass.
Since I last checked, the GrassRoots and Edwards Bass-IV it is not even on the Japanese ESP page. I remember seeing that it was made of basswood though (compared to the high-end model, which is alder with other custom features). The bass is very heavy and the electronics really need some shielding. Other than that, the neck is frighteningly stable, the frets are great and minus the noise, the pickup switches offer really nice versatility. I am using it with old TI flats right now and it sounds very, very nice.

woo-hoo! (originally stated March 7-9th!)
I'm also thinking about replacing the mirrored-plastic bridge plate and control plate with metal clones.
