Thanks! I stole the headstock idea from the newborn section. Saw a bass (Mark Childer's bass) with a blister-maple fingerboard and matching headstock. I knew when I saw that pic that I had to do it on this build.

And after that last post,... I also have to say that I'm just blown away by my new Monarch. I already own an Emperor II, and I already know first hand how amazing these instruments are, so I didn't expect to be surprised. But I am. I am completely surprised by how amazing this bass is.

You should be able to troubleshoot the batteries by switching to passive mode. Passive mode will work when batteries are dead. I've never had the batteries die in my fodera, so I don't what it sounds like when that happens.

Steu, or any other 6 string players, do you have a preferred double gig bag for your AJ six strings? Since my second fodera is about to arrive I've been looking at different options for dual bags. Seems like a lot of people like the mono m80 line.

I was very annoyed by that at first,.. but I just use safari on my iPhone to access TalkBass, and that has been working for me pretty well. It seems like the website is very mobile friendly.

Sweet! I thought I saw a faint production number there but I couldn't make out what the numbers were. Now I realize that it's perfectly legible if I read upside-down! Ha! I know that you aren't a six string guy, but have you gave it a test run?

That looks like a great deal for you! You should jump right on that!! So I sent my final payment to fodera today and arranged for shipping. Looks like it will be shipping early next week! I can't wait!! Once I receive my new monarch, my emperor II is going back to the shop for a tune up.

I change the tone knob all the time. Just depending on what kind of attack I want (and how old my strings are at the time). Usually between 50%-70%.
