Before you say anything, I looked in the reviews section and saw zero, so if anyone has any input on the little Cube RX, smack me with it. In return I will ship you 40 virgins, a new Ferrari, gold lame thong underwear (only worn a few times) and a slightly used nosehair removal tool. Mucho thanx!
Just heard about the passing of Dennis Hopper. For those of us who grew up in the 60's, Easy Rider was not just a movie, but an exclamation mark on our generation. Dennis did alot of work after Easy Rider, but that one movie will be his legacy. This one's for you, Dennis!
I no longer gig and haven't for a long time, but when I did, there were some songs that were crowd favorites (and radio hits) but were just plain awful, and made you feel silly to play/sing. Remember, I'm going back to the 70's, but lets face it, bad is bad regardless of the decade. My most...
I just ran across videos from a duo called Clatter. Just a young guy on a drum kit and a girl on bass. I think you guys should see this! Sorry I don't have the link, but just go to Youtube.
If you ever get the chance, watch Satriani Live! Four guys, Joe on guitar, drummer, rhythm guitar, and a very, very good bassist. No vocals, just music, and the best part is that Joe seems to really like to have a very up front bass.
I was surfing the channels the other night and came on a concert by a group called Franz Ferdinand. I've never heard them before, but thought I'd give them a listen. I have to say, there is hope for music yet. Very tight arrangements, nice change-ups, and best of all, a very up-front bass line...
Even as we speak, I'm sitting here watching 'Queen: Live at Wembley' on VH1C and am just amazed at how good a bassist Mr. Deacon is. Smooth, understated and totally in control. This should be required watching for any aspiring bassist.
I'm looking for a living room amp with modeling effects (a la Line 6 LD15) just for noodling around with without hooking up a peddel, but the market seems a bit thin, any suggestions from my TB bro's?
OK, I'm ready to get hammered on this, but I have a Zoom B1 effects box and can't figure it out. I don't consider myself stupid (well, not completely), but this thing has got me stumped. Any help would be appreciated!
