Shortly after I started guitar, I thought it'd be fun to take up bass as well. However, I was without funds until recently I ran across a roland 100w bass cube for $75 bucks! I couldn't pass up, and an upcoming payday gave me the money to buy me an essex bass :) Pics:

I've seen a few headless basses, and they're pretty intriguing. Other than looks, how does the lack of a head affect the bass? Also, what's the best headless on a budget under $400?
