I have an Ibanez Soundgear 500 with elixir "i guess rounds.." and am wanting a gentler/jazzier but still present sound. This is my first time looking for new strings and i suppose my top choices from doing some reading on here would be DR MM flats, D'addario hybrids, or something of that nature...

Just curious how many may be adament weighlifters or even amateur bodybuilders/powerlifters? Always seemed to me like the bass should be handled by some burly guy with big arms but all i ever see is scrawny or overweight (usually better than the jacked bassists :( sadly) oh well, let's here from...

Picked up the Gallien-Krueger 1001rb-2 head and Ampeg SVT-410hlf classic cab, both used, today at GC for.. (drumroll).. $900!! Both were in great condition, Ampeg may need reapolstered, meh. but i gotta tell ya the quality of this set up, I won't use any other gear for a long long time. But...

Looking for a solid combo amp in the $500-$700 arena. So far have considered GK mb-212/210, Ampeg, Promethean, and Mark Bass.:bassist:

What up all, just need some opinions on the Galien Kruger mb210 and mb 212. Need a loud combo thats going to keep a good strong tone even when pushed. All constructive comments are greatly appreciated. Happy Holidays!! :D
