Recently i've been moving into trying to be able to hear guitar chords and bass notes, but it seems like i'm not making much progress at all. I can tell the difference between 2 notes, but i couldn't tell you which one is an A or B or C etc...any advice on this? (I'll still be practicing more...

So i recently purchased a GK mb500 amp, and im trying to decide a cab to match it (portability is important), im thinking about the 1x12 or a 1x15, are there any big differences between the two besides about 7 pounds and obviously the driver size?

Why am i always half a day late on the good amp deals at the GC used website! if you are the one snatching these deals up on used GK combo amps, step forth and show yourself!

Would a truss rod adjustment be needed if i recently switched to a lighter string gauge? switched from 45-65-85-105 to 45-65-80-100. I don't think i see any bend in the fretboard, but i dont have the best eyes for that kind of stuff.

So today while in practice my BA-108 amp started making a weird noise like a rattling when i played the A on the 12th fret of the A string, and only that note. Im pretty sure its just a loose screw on one of the metal corners...any other input or does that seem right?

So in any industry involved with technology, there always seems to be constant improvement, but nothing drastic. What do you guys think the next really big revolution will be when it comes to basses? or will there even be one?

I'm thinking about learning to play the bass, and i was wondering what a good starter bass would be. Shouldn't be too expensive or anything, but still decent quality i guess. any recommendations?
