1x12 or 1x15 cab

So i recently purchased a GK mb500 amp, and im trying to decide a cab to match it (portability is important), im thinking about the 1x12 or a 1x15, are there any big differences between the two besides about 7 pounds and obviously the driver size?

I've played only the GK Neo 112-II - not the 1x15. But I would say that, in addition to having a little more power handling capacity, the Neo 115-III is going to handle the deep lows a little better, and sound more open and more relaxed while doing so.

From what I've gathered, the GK Neo 115-III is one of the more balanced commercial 1x15 cabs on the market, with a frequency response with goes well up into the upper midrange (before crossing over to the horn), while remaining surprisingly punchy for a 1x15. You might like... :hmm:

I now use 2 Neo 1X15s, but I did have a 1X12 cab that I used to stack on the 1X15...... the 1X12 was fine by itself in duo (dinner club or Blues Breakfast) settings but I don't think it would cut it with a Band while the 1X15 could.... (not for metal)

btw I'm using a 1001RB II head
