So my clean sound is typically a stingray or mustang, not really an ampeg clean or anything, more of a driven studio preamp + some EQ - think The Cure's Disintegration. Hi-fi, aggressive, but not too clanky. The preamp that's drawing me in is the MXR m81, anything that does it as good or better?
