I use pedals like flanger, compressor with sustain; bass overdrive, reverb. Problem is the signal is too hot and would shriek my amp(feedback). Shall I just ditch some of the pedals? What to do to prevent this? Thanks for any help.

My 4x10 cab is 8ohms and my 1x18 cab is 4 ohms. So when i connect these 2 cabs to my bass amp head, what ohms shall i put on the amp head? Is it 4 or 8 ohms?

Thanks for your replies guys. For me, i don't know why i am so sloppy with fingers. I don't even know how to slap. I use pick all the time coz my rythm is a thousand times better with it, and yes, it sounds heavier.

Just curious why do most bassists use bare fingers when playing bass when you can use pick to sound heavier?

I have always wanted to own an Ampeg, but i would like to know w/c one is better between Ampeg V4BH or Ampeg SVT4-Pro? I would like to lean towards the Ampeg V4BH since it's all tube & the SVT is just hybrid. But before i chose i would like to get your opinions. I play indie/shoegaze.

What's a good solidstate amp head? There're so many kinds of amp in the market but how many of these solidstates do really sound good? I play indie/shoegaze stuff.
