    Why aren't PJ basses more popular and more available?

    I have a G&L USA SB - 2 that is tremendous. P bass growl with a very fat jazz pickup. Highly recommend.

    Kilotone might be a better moniker. "A thousand tones with a classic feel". Takes it a step away from violence. I would love to try one.

    Singing and Playing

    I've found practicing with a metronome while singing and playing bass helps. I often start at a slower tempo and work up to speed. I find that I need to memorize the bass line and the lyrics before moving to combining both.

    I'm new to Talk Bass, but I've owned a Walkabout 112 combo for about five years. I always get compliments about the sound. People can't believe the room filling volume out of this little combo. I roll off the low end at about 80hz by three or so dB using the parametric eq. Using a musicman...
