    You're right, that is rosewood, same as the cover for the control cavity.

    I just looked closer and the neck is actually two-piece - the headstock has a lamination line. This leads me to believe there is a very thin veneer after all.

    Yup. Control cavity is a dead giveaway for the body - definitely not ash. Is that a walnut veneer on the headstock, or dark stain on the maple? Hard to tell from the picture, but my guess is the latter.

    Think of these as tools for cutting rather than boosting. I doubt you listed these frequencies because you want to cut them out. Faders are only toys when you call them sliders.
