Thank You Do you find the E string on Chromes to have no definition? I have read people complain about that, maybe the lower gauge fixes that? Or maybe just not true?

Been playing for 5 yrs but am now being overwhelmed by strings ( thanks talkbass) but have limited experience with flatwounds. Longtime flatwound users who went to the other side

I'm having the same issue, Bandmates asked me to try rounds on my ATK300 but then I felt Like I was lost in the mix. When I plug in my bass with the GHS flatwounds I feel right at home.

    Practice Amp Question

Thank you. What is an SPL? Are you meaning how much air it can push? I realize my 2x15 volume wise isn't going to be matched by a single 10 or 12 inch but when at home there is an occasion I would enjoy turning up the volume and being able to feel it somewhat.

    Practice Amp Question

Like it wants to explode when turned up, gets "farty" as I've read the description on here before. But too soon when turning up the volume.

    Practice Amp Question

I'm looking for an amp for home use, something that I can actually turn up and be loud and still sound good when I desire. I notice alot of amps have a large increase in price once you leave the 10 inch speaker going to the 12 inch speaker. Is the extra money worth it? Example being Fender...
