I felt that way about Robin Williams also. Not sure what was going on in their minds, but if they fully understood how important they were to how many people, how much joy they created...you'd think maybe that would have helped.I was just sad, but now I'm sad and angry. I woke up to this news and was extremely saddened. I had just put all the Soundgarden albums on my iphone and was going to have a soundgarden fest for the next couple days. Still am, but its from a different angle now. I loved them from day one and they were instrumental in my playing. It a sad day. They were one of my tops. Im just totally saddened.
With all the people drugs took out it's extra tough to know he was in such pain that he ended it all himself. I understand depression, but there was always someone to talk to. There always is. Hopefully one of these tragedies will be a springboard for some paradigm change. "Dead rock star" has become too regular a phrase. Grunge lost it's last great front man. Kurt, Scott, Layne...
