Imo opinion, it's always good to keep a DI box in your emergency bag, just in case. Half the time, the house has a box as well. But for the cheap cost, it's a worthy investment.

The 500s were/are known for overheating problems, among other things. Get rid of your 500, and get an 800.

I also rock the same setup: PF800, with 2, PF210 cabs. Sounds nice and tight. Got a super deal on the head (MF level 1 open box for $329!)...I just couldn't pass up a deal like that. Btw, its basically a new head, in perfect shape, I even got the warranty BS, since it was so cheap and "used"...
