    NBD- New Body Day

Beautiful. I envy your skills. It must be an amazing feeling to play a bass that you built by hand. Congrats!

    Sire Bass Club!

I love this. Wish there was an off-the-shelf P/MM made by Sire. Congrats!

Which EBMM Stingray is closest to the Fender Am Pro II Series in terms of quality?

Respectfully, my Fender Am Pro II Precision bass is the only bass I own (out of 10) that I will never sell. It plays like butter. A great setup helped tremendously. It's just perfect. I wish you could play it to see what I mean. Maybe I got one that's better than average? Before spending the...

I think Sire basses are just perfect

I share this opinion. When I hear someone bashing the headstock as ugly, I just don't get it. Am I supposed to care about the look of the headstock? Isn't it at least okay, as-is? What makes it ugly? Seriously, I don't get it.

I think Sire basses are just perfect

Oh, that glorious, smooth, rolled edge neck! I have a Z7. If I didn't already have a AmPro II Precision and a AmPro II Jazz, I would probably have Sires' versions of those. I would love to see them sell "blank" versions of their basses. Necks and bodies with no pickups, tuners, etc. Just an...

    Seller wants his bass back?

It's an interesting question. My knee-jerk reaction was to advise selling it back to him since you're not attached to it yet. (Karma may be a real thing.) However, if you want to keep it, I think it's reasonable to tell him that if you ever decide to sell it, you'll contact him.

"It's a Great Time to be a Bassplayer" - But is it really?

You make a good point. I'm not discounting anything you're saying. But, from my perspective, being a bass player is cheap! A high-quality electric bass (not a boutique bass) and good amplifier for stage is a much lower investment than what keyboard players and guitar players (and maybe...

Alcohol is really an issue now.

I had a similar experience. I'm a new bass player but long-time keyboard player. I was in a great band that I gave up on. The drummer and bass player would smoke doobies before each gig. It didn't affect the drummer's playing very much but the bass player got very sloppy when he was high...

    I am a weak, weak man . . .

These are uncertain times. What with Covid and the always-plausible excuse that an undetected asteroid could be heading toward us, why would you NOT buy that bass?! Why would you not buy TWO of them and give one to a stranger (like me)? - Cliff
