Here is a new body for a build that I'm quite excited about.

The finish will be a yellow/brown/black burst for the top, and clear for the walnut core.

It'll be paired with a Klos F Series (Fender spec) graphite fretless neck. I chose the compound radius option and am getting an unlisted option of a fingerboard that is free of any markings, aside from side dots.

Bridge will be a Hipshot Kickass. Strap system will be Dunlop Straplok Flush Mount.

Pickups are Nordstrand Polyvox, and it will have two Luisthand Single NFPs. Each pup/preamp will have it's own output.

Hopefully will get some Wal-like tones.

That’s cool! I would love to see a picture when you’re done! I just recently started building parts basses because no one makes what I like and custom order basses are priced out of what I can realistically afford. I really want to learn how to make necks at some point. You inspired me to start looking at making a Wal like bass. Did you make the body or have it ordered?

Beautiful. I envy your skills. It must be an amazing feeling to play a bass that you built by hand. Congrats!

There will definitely be a New Bass Day post. I found the body on eBay. The seller, Eric (ericgangluff) was fantastic. He has bodies in stock. You see the actual body you will receive (unlike several sellers.) Some of his bodies already have pup cavities routed. But some don't, and he will route for the pickup style and position you want. Quality seems on par with Warmoth (I've got 2.) Price is about 2/3 of Warmoth.

I didn't make this one, and due to decreased free time, I no longer finish and assemble my parts basses. I wouldn't have time to play my basses if I still did that work. I've got a guy locally that does good work at fair prices.
