Taking a bass by wheelchair

The sling is called Airpannier and is made for taking guitars on cycles. I've had one for a few years. The maker has been through this with me, helping me work out how to adapt it for wheelchairs. His website is mundomusicgear.co.uk

It's done. I had to think again, after getting the shelf. The black gig bag isn't padded enough for my liking, so I bought a TGI Extreme. It's too wide to clear the spokes, when it's on the shelf. I found a way to hang the guitar sling better. Also better is how I can keep the sling on, when I fold my wheelchair. View attachment 7146350View attachment 7146350View attachment 7146353

I’ve been scrolling down to see what ideas have been posted and whomever came up with a pouch made from a cargo net, lowering the CG of the load, adding an additional strap to secure the neck, and making the whole thing collapsable with the chair when it is folded so it does not need to be removed and reattached every time the chair is folded, has been stealing Ideas I didn’t know I had yet.

I've only been wheelchairing for four or five weeks, and it's giving me a whole new lot challenges to set my mind on. My mind is in a better way than before.

I've since bought an electric wheelchair, finding my acoustic one too tiring at times. Here's a thread about taking basses on both.
