Yep, couldn’t bear to wait on the global lack of Nordy supply, so I listened to the universe and got the Agulars. I was on the fence anyway. I’m really impressed with the variety of tones in the DCBs. All the frequencies are there to be played around with. That’s all you can ask from a pickup!

Sorry for the double post, but I think this might be her best angle. Plays like butter. So easy to make clean tones all over the board. Love the Aguilar DCBs, too.

This guy Chris is the real deal. I’m jealous that he has a job that can bring this much joy to someone. I am deeply, deeply in love with this guitar. It’s my favorite thing I’ve ever owned. Worth every penny and more. I know y’all think your Stammy is the prettiest. You are wrong. Mine is. Sorry.

Selling my Supro Huntington 1 with Piezo. Zero wear. No travel. Just pampered at home. Replaced original 1Meg pots with 500k in fender jazz bass configuration (VVT). Also had pickup cavity shielded. Sounds way, way better than stock. $900. Shoot me a PM if interested.

Bass strings are not made of Kryptonite. They obey the laws of physics. Don’t fear de-burring of machined metal. You will not open a wormhole.

Relax. We are talking about light deburring with extremely fine steel wool for a few strokes. There’s no way you could change the roundness. Do it before installing the strings so there’s no dust. The strings aren’t cutting (duh), they are just a little rough. Sheesh. I’ve done this for years...

How long was is between your deposit and the start of the build?

I should never have complained about the Supro single coils or the piezo. With 500k pots, I found a sweet spot. Loving it.

Just sent in my deposit for a neck thru 32” offset. I hear he isn’t taking new commissions until mine is done though! (Wink)

I like to give folks the benefit of the doubt, even if that means getting disappointed. That said, art takes time and lots of work.

There are solutions to the quiet e-string. Mine was groundwounds and a little extra bass on the amp. My e string booms, and I have a piezo.

Yeah, you’re right. My bad. I love the muted Motown sound, and mine is perfect for it at about 5-10 degrees of tone and the piezo muted. In my opinion, that’s where the Supro single coils are happiest. Sounds like a proper short scale.
