Honestly I don’t know, for my case I didn’t care about the time length, I never really called or anything to expedite. I just wanted them to take their time and make the best bass my money could buy, and they delivered in spades!

So I bought the cake of Wiedoeft I April. I’ve been noticing it’s cracked quite a bit through the cake (see pics). In all fairness I may have wacked it moving it around, but if that’s not the case, and this just happened with time, does this cracking indicate that it has reached end of life?

Finished up my practice hour with it about 20 minutes ago without nary a back twinge! It’s wild how much weight displacement occurs with the angled Endpin. It’s definitely worth the storage tradeoffs!

Unfortunately not enough room in the music room to lay the bass on its side, guess I’ll have to remove it and put the straight back in when needing to put it up for the day. A minor inconvenience but no big deal.
