blank area for ads

I mentioned this in another thread. It might be collateral damage to other fixes with ads. Just in the last day or so I've started getting a large blank area on every page, presumably where ad(s) would go. As a privileged and entitled Gold Supporting Member (ha) I hope this is a bug that can...
