Large blank area where ads would probably go

I mentioned this in another thread. It might be collateral damage to other fixes with ads.

Just in the last day or so I've started getting a large blank area on every page, presumably where ad(s) would go. As a privileged and entitled Gold Supporting Member (ha) I hope this is a bug that can be resolved so I don't see that huge blank area all the time.

Me too but only on Android Chrome. Not on Windows Chrome

I'm on OS X Monterey & Safari if it's relevant. I also get the same thing in Safari on iOS 15.6.1 (iPhone 12).

laptop here, windows, chrome = large blank areas where ads have been in the past (as supporting member).
