    Fast Fret killing the brightness of my strings?

    I started using Fast Fret on the last three sets of strings I put on my bass, and I swear I'm losing the brightness out of my strings faster now. Has anyone else had this experience?

    G much brighter than other strings

    I have a Guild acoustic bass guitar. I bought some D'Addario half-round strings for it, and the G string is so much brighter than the other strings that it practically sounds like it is made of different material. Is there anything I can do about this?

    Most of my basses have different strings and I've noticed that the loss of initial brightness varies wildly from one set to another. Thankfully, I don't really mind dead strings at all but I wanted to know what you guys thought the strings were that are most prone to this. I feel like GHS...
