    Bassists Who Were Guitar Players First

    I have noticed that many of the great bass players were initially guitarists. Is this true? I wonder why that is? Which of your favorite bassists were guitarists before? Do you think that being a guitarist first primes you to be a better bass player? Any/all input is appreciated!
