low f#

Where are my djent heads at!!??!?!! Seriously though, I play in a doom band and out guitarist has been writing in F# standard a lot lately. I've been using the DigiTech Drop to get the low F#, but I think it's finally time to justify buying a dedicated bass for it. I see everyone is using...

so... i looking at a 7-stringer and possible upgrade with a roland gk-3b. it is going to be tuned low F# standard. question is - how is gk-3b in tracking low F#? since it has six pickups, it can not be used to track all seven strings. should i skip low F# or high B? kind regards
