mtd kingston kz5 pickup covers

I'm interested in this fretless bass in the trans cherry finish, but I really don't dig the pickup covers, at least not with the cherry finish. I prefer the look of the black pickups (like the Kingston Heir 5 had) on the cherry finish. Anyone know what it looks like underneath the wooden covers...
