pickup newbie

Hi all, I'm learning the double bass - been playing electric about 30 years and I'm loving the upright. Starting to bring it to jams and where eyerone can hear me but I can't hear it - jams can get big and loud in a large cement-floor room with a high ceiling. I want to get a pickup to capture...
