For years, my PA of choice has been built on Yamaha DXR8s. QSC 8" version gets way more love but IMO, the yamaha is WAY more natural sounding; more transparent highs; YMMV. When I needed an amp, I went with a Trace Elliot Elf 1x10... 'cause I LOVED how light/compact it was and I figured a 10"...
