I had a Kala UBass and found it fun but the strings were so meh that I stopped playing it. I'd like to get some form of small bass for easy travel and TV-time strumming (why not, eh?). Is there any other option to the funky rubber strings for a uke size bass? They likely won't come on the bass...

I know this might be a long shot, but does anyone have any experience with the Hadean uke bass that's longscale? Sort of like a tiny guitar more than a big ukelele. They claim the acoustic sound is much better, but I was wondering how significantly. A.k.a is it possible to play with a guitarist...
