yamaha rbx765a

I just got an old Yamaha RBX765A active bass. Come to find out, the electronics don't work. Almost every capacitor is fried, and a resistor or two. Does anyone know if the pickups themselves are actually active, or if they're just passive pickups hooked up to a preamp? I haven't found a clear...
