I've had this Ken Smith BSR5MW for about 6 months. The body wings have a lightly figured bookmatched Black Walnut top and back with a highly flamed Tiger Maple core. The center block is highly flamed Tiger Maple with subtle Walnut accent stripes between it and the body wings. The electronics feature Smith humbucking soapbar pickups run through a Smith BMT 3 band preamp, which in my opinion has the nicest voicing of any preamp on the market. The neck is a three piece bolt on Hard Maple neck, with a Morado/Rosewood fingerboard and a Walnut overlay on the peghead face. The frets show only the slightest hint of wear.
The are some light blemishes in the body which consist of some finish wear from the players fingers near the bridge pickup, some very light scratch marks in the wood on the front and back and some dimples in the edge near the output jack.

The case has some nicks and wear and is missing part of the center latch, but is still very secure and protects the bass as it should.

I'll take $1800 plus shipping, and I prefer paypal...

The only pic I have of it is this promo pic, but I'll try to shoot some tonight and post them here...

Feel free to shoot me any questions...

The only trades I would really consider are high-end 5 strings.

Wow. That's my old Smith! I sold it to TBer ric426.

I can't believe this. My old Smith is for sale here and another TBer is selling my old Warwick fretless 6er too. This is kinda weird to see two of my favorite old basses for sale at the same time. Brings back memories.

If anyone is interested you can see more pictures of the bass here.

Never played one, but have always wanted to. I can't recall and didn't see info, but is it 34" scale and 18mm at the bridge? And what does it weigh? Thanks in advance.
