1.000 bucks for an amp .

Consider one of the new Genz Benz heads. They sound great, record really well, and are light weight. If yo upoke around on this site there's a lot of info.

Here is something to think about. The genz benz amps sound great, run dual voltage at the flip of a switch, and have a pretty solid reputation for quality and support. And... If in the off chance you need to send ot off for repair, it weighs less than 7 lbs.

Nope. I bought all new. I used the speakon cables that came with the cabs for speaker cables. I always kept at a volume low enough not to be heard outside, but heard within the house.

I haven't made any changes to my equipment and since repaired both my 212 and my amp have worked fine. They're now long out of warranty.

I've talked to multiple locals and TBers who had GK cabs crap out. The repair shop I went to said they saw GK quite a bit.

Regardless, I love their stuff, but this guy can't return anything and there are no service centers outside of the US/Puerto Rico.

EDIT: Only 8 and 4ohm loads --- 8ohm gk 212, 8ohm gk 112, and the two together.

I can't speak to the cabs (came out after I moved) although my NEO 412 has been flawless. Your response was to the 700RB II of which you very rarely hear failing. ANY manufacturer can have failures. So he needs to look for only manufacturers that have service centers in his area? Ok I'm down with that, what are the options?

it's somewhat of a biased opinion.

I've heard more of GK failures than of any other failures, so I think he'd have a better chance with another company. I don't know of any brands that service in venezuela.

(my behringer is still kickin' perfectly and I've treated it terribly and clipped the hell out of it)

today i visited 3 stores 1 samash and 2 GC and i tried all the amps they had , i really loved the tone of the mark bass amps with fender basses but them i played a warwick corvette (my bass) and i didnt like the tone the mark bass gave me then i tried ampeg (any ampeg) and i just love the mix of warwick-ampeg

sooooo wen i was going to the last GC i was decided to buy a PF500. then i found an used svt 3pro with an used svt 410 hlf in mint condition each one in 499 bucks so , i tried them i loved them and i got them xD they where there just waiting for me , i saved up like 750 bucks maybe more because of the taxes, and the best of all if i have some issue with my gear i have 30 days international insurance they would cover all even shipping to USA.

now i have a question , does the SVT 3Pro give's the entire 450 watts at 4ohms trought the SVT 410Hlf or not ?
thank you all guys for your opinion

Not sure if they deliver to South America, but if they do get this;

You'll have enough money left over to buy a second head, the BX250 (great little micro). Now you're covered.

Then later, you can get a second 210 cab or 112 cab and you'll have two complete rigs for barely over 1000 bucks.
When you gig, keep the BX250 in a gig bag for a backup (I always carry backups when I gig).

Carvin? I have the BX1200 with the 4x10 neo and the BX500 with the 2x10 neo. I use them separately as well as together depending on the size of the space. Very good at reproducing the sound of the bass and effects vs. creating a signature sound.

so, i have 1.000 bucks for a new amp , I'm looking for a modern and punchy sound and right now I'm very confused i love the ampeg PF500 tone but I'm scared about the head problems , I'm from Venezuela so i can't go wrong.
item refund , or returns are not allowed for me :D i hope you guys can help me .

thanks !

GK 700RBII.

Modern, punchy sound, great reliability, and you'll have money left over for FX, another bass or cab, etc.
