1/8" to 1/4" adapter for Sony MDR-7506

I lost my adaptor that came with my 7506 headphones. I have tone of adapters at home, but this particular one is threaded instead of "push-on". I found the Sony part number online for $17.44 . Does anybody know anywhere else that would carry an adapter that would fit these industry standard phones? Thanks.

Thanks. I was going to try a Radio Shack on the way home. Hopefully they stock the threaded variety. Maybe I can check Fry's next week.

Good choice in headphones man. Mine have been rocking out doing live sound and DJing for oh, 6 years now . And, of course, general music listening on top.
My local radio shack didn't have the threaded adapter, only the push on type. I had to find a small place, mom-and-pop kind of deal that had them. They wern't gold like the sony's . And, it was still like $8 or something.
Good luck on it. I always keep mine in that leather case so I don't lose it.
Later on I found my gold one, and lost the one I bought. I found humor in that somehow.

I ended up buying an extension cable that will accept a standard push on adapter. I mostly use these phones for tracking, reference mixing and listening to music at work on my mp3 player so this works out OK for now. I have a set of Joe Grado's also for mixing and a set of Audio Technica's for Aviom mixes where the sound doesn't have to be good.

Good 'ole Sony..

I lost the adapter for my Sennheiser HD280 Pro's, and the replacement from Sennheiser was only $2.37 plus $3-4 for shipping.

I wonder if the Sennheiser one would fit on yours, it's identical to the screw on one that goes on my AKG's.

it doesn't have to be a threaded one to work... as long as it will adapt an 1/8" to 1/4"

luckily for me we still have our part for our sony MDR v600 set...because we only have so many adapters, and I'm already using most of them
