Actually, you're the presumptious one sitting up in your ivory tower.
I know my append isn't going to solve world hunger.
And God, if I could remove the reference to a Desert Island and rewind the tape, I surely would.
But, at the allegedly largest bass forum in the world, I didn't think it was crazy to actually poll people in the know to specify some information that could actually help a student begin to speak on the bass.
Maybe I'm hitting a nerve, because the reality is most bass materials suck, and so do most people pretending to be effective teachers.
You can say what you want about what you think I know or don't know, but I was probably gigging professionally on another instrument while you were still nursing.
I have enough years of musical experience to express what I think is one way to jump start a student - without arrogant feedback like this.
