I have an Acoustic 371 stack (370 head + 301 18" cab) and had never tried that head with any other cabinets. Well 3 weeks ago I won a SWR Big Bertha (2-15 + horn) on ebay, wasn't really sure what I was going to with it (Get another SWR amp or what) , I already had an old 240 watt Redhead & Goliath jr III (2-10 +horn). I didn't really like the Redhead/Big Bertha combination. So I took the 370 amp & Big Bertha (4 ohm)& Goliath jr(8 ohm) and plugged them all together. I'm in love. I should add that I played Bass many years ago and I've been playing guitar mainly since 1973 and I bought that Acoustic Rig for the "house Bass system" for whenever Bass players would come by my house to jam, so I hadn't really played that amp much. Well all that has changed now. What a sound! I'm playing Bass in a brand new band and used to have a large SWR Rig ,but sold or traded most of my Bass gear when I couldn't get a gig. (Didn't mean to ramble) I'm new to this forum but hardly a newbie.:D:D

Poll options are skewed away from 15s, alas.

Some people still like big speakers in big boxes. For some applications, they're tough to beat.

2 1x15's it is for me, and I don't think of my Bag Ends as being big at all. I've had 2x10, 4x10, 2x12, 2x15; and the B.E. 1x15 takes up less space than my 2x10 did.

In general, IMO, the whole signal chain, and intended application need to be considered together.
