Okay, so I Googled "Fodera Bass" becasue I am a bit of a nut for Vinny and Joey's basses, own one (with one more on the way) and like to stay current with what's out there. Take a look at the bass on the following link:

THAT IS MY BASS!!! It is sitting home in my basement as I write this. My bass has two very distinctive markings on it (that are a natural part of the woodgrain on the back and the mother-of-pearl on the headstock) that make it easy to spot.

I bought this bass from Dave's Guitar in Wisconsin and the pictures this dirtbag is showing are the same ones from the Dave's Guitar Website. What's worse is that he originally posted it AFTER I already owned the bass.

So, just for fun I emailed him and asked him to send me the serial number and whether or not his photos were actual pictures of the bass. He replied by telling me that they were photos of the bass and then gave me a completely bogus serial number (all Foderas start and end with a letter -- the one he gave me started with the right letter "M" but then was 7 numbers long (should have been 4) with no ending letter.

Buyer beware!

BTW, his asking price of $3,200 is a GREAT deal -- wish that was all I had paid!!! ;)
